Rolo's story

The family, the cushion and the diary.

Everything here has been checked by Rolo personally. He has checked it from the good cushion.

The family tree

Who is who

Rolo is the dignified one. Odie is the one who needs supervising.

Uncle

Rolo

Black and tan Cavalier. Dignified, mostly. Holds the good cushion and sighs in complete sentences.

Odie's mum, Rolo's sibling

[Mum's name]

Add her name, and whether she is also a Cavapoo, here.

Honorary member

The good cushion

No relation. Respected. Reserved. Do not sit on it, even if it is warm.

Nephew

Odie

Golden Cavapoo. Chaotic. Carries squeaky toys everywhere and loses them on the landing.

Rolo's diary

Entries, translated from dog

Three entries, written with great care. Some words were spelled by a human.

  1. Entry one

    The sofa

I was on the sofa at two o'clock. I was on the sofa at three. A human said "Rolo, off." I did not hear. My dignity remains intact.

Some of the cushions are now a little flatter than they were. This is not my fault. Probably.

  2. Entry two

    The good cushion

The good cushion is the one by the window, where the sun lands in a warm square at teatime. It is mine.

Odie has been told. He sat on it anyway, then looked at me as though I was being rude. I have decided to forgive him. I have not decided to get off.

  3. Entry three

    Odie's ball habits

Odie brings a ball to me, drops it at my feet and waits for me to throw it. I do not throw it. He picks it up and drops it on the good cushion.

I am considering a formal complaint. It will be a long sigh.
